Elementary Teacher For Adults (Grade 1)

Seeking a certified and passionate elementary teacher to provide meaningful educational opportunities to adult learners. This role offers educators the chance to inspire change by helping adults who have not completed mandatory literacy requirements or full K–12 academic achievement to develop the knowledge and skills they need for greater opportunity and success.

The teacher will deliver comprehensive instruction across multiple academic subjects and learning skills, including special education services when required. Responsibilities include implementing and adapting lesson plans, assessing student progress, developing individualized education plans, administering and evaluating diagnostic assessments, and maintaining accurate educational and performance records. Teachers will use student data to guide instructional decisions, provide monthly work evaluations, and ensure testing materials remain secure.

Successful candidates will create a structured, positive, and supportive classroom environment using effective instructional and classroom management strategies. Teachers will collaborate with classroom and special education educators, consult with highly qualified teachers regarding subject-area needs, and work closely with colleagues to support goals. The position also involves escorting and supervising adult students within the education building and classroom while maintaining professional written and verbal communication.

Candidates must hold an Arizona Teaching Certification appropriate to their area of instruction and maintain all required credentials. Teachers are expected to participate in professional development, required training sessions, and meetings while continually refining their instructional practices to improve student learning. The role may require driving and performing other duties related to the assignment.
