Hello, Am Ruby (Official name Roopini, Chinese name is Lin Ming), I teach English language and am also a Psychology teacher. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology (2018) and also a research Scholar doing PhD in Cognitive Psychology. I started my teaching career in Wenzhou University (China) teaching Psychology and English since 2019. I was teaching offline (In Campus) and from 2020 started to teach online. I have a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification from TEFL professional institute, China. In 2019, i volunteered to teach English in Wenzhou government middle school for 6 months in the beginning of my first visit to China. I have built a good rapport with Chinese students from day one. Students find me friendly and approachable as I balance both academics and friendliness on the same scale.

Teaching English to Chinese students enabled me to be culturally competent and interactive. Also am glad that i attended Chinese classes for a semester with other international students which again exposed me to diverse cultural environment. This way i can deal with students of similar cultural background. Handling the class with punctuality, politeness and patience is something that i have been incorporating in my teaching.

My teaching materials usually include a PPT, additional learning materials and practice questions and learning from Videos. I also include Chinese meanings to certain words for better comprehension of vocabularies. I can also be flexible enough to include Japanese meanings to certain English words for Japanese students if required.

I have attended several webinars and I have also completed few Certificate courses related to English (TESOL) and Psychology from international universities such as Michigan State university, University of Illinois, National Research Tomsk State university and University of London. Also i have completed few Professional Development courses from BrainWare Learning Company, Chicago, IL.
