JOB DESCRIPTION

Private School, $150,000/year ($75/hour) paid weekly, W-2 Salary, In-Person, Full-time (40 hrs/week), 8:00 am to 5:00 pm M-F, Day-One Health Benefits, Relocation Support Available, Long-Term Role

Seeking an experienced, highly skilled K-3 educator to serve as a reading specialist supporting young students in a unique, technology-driven learning environment. This is a full-time, on-site position offering a $100,000 annual salary paid weekly, along with health, dental, and vision benefits beginning on the first day. This role requires 40 hours per week, five days a week at one campus, with relocation assistance available.

A major responsibility is providing targeted structured-literacy instruction to small groups of approximately two to four students. The reading specialist will use running records, fluency assessments, and observation to diagnose specific phonics and decoding difficulties, then design brief, focused interventions using strategies such as phoneme-grapheme mapping, blending practice, and decodable text. Reading intervention represents a relatively small portion of the week and takes place within the regular school day rather than in a separate pull-out program.

Qualified candidates should have at least three years of direct experience working with children ages 4-9 and at least two recent years teaching reading to K-3 students within the past five years. Candidates must have completed structured-literacy training such as LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, Fundations, UFLI, CERI, Neuhaus, SIPPS, Really Great Reading, or a comparable program, or hold a master's degree in reading or literacy. A bachelor's degree in any field is required, while a teaching certificate is not. Experience with diagnostic assessments or reading platforms and backgrounds in innovative school models are valued. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship and willing to relocate or work on-site.
