The Remote High School Math Teacher delivers engaging, personalized mathematics instruction in a fully online environment. Working from home, the teacher provides both live (synchronous) and self-paced (asynchronous) learning experiences while supporting students' academic growth through a learning management system. This full-time role requires a commitment to student success, individualized instruction, and maintaining regular communication with students and their families.

Teachers are responsible for managing the online learning process, monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate grade records, and using assessment data to guide instruction and promotion decisions. They differentiate lessons to meet individual student needs, prepare students for standardized testing, uphold academic integrity, and collaborate closely with administrators, parents, and learning coaches to ensure students remain engaged and on track. The role also includes occasional travel for professional development, student testing, and other school-related events.

Successful candidates must be self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting while maintaining a distraction-free home office. Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to high academic expectations are essential, as teachers are expected to build positive relationships with families, provide instructional support, troubleshoot basic technology issues, and continuously improve through coaching and professional development.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, an active state teaching license, and the ability to successfully pass a required background check.

Desired qualifications include experience teaching high school students, teaching in online and/or traditional classroom settings, supporting students and families with technology, and using online learning platforms. Preferred candidates are collaborative, data-driven educators who are proficient with Microsoft Office applications, adaptable to new technologies, receptive to instructional coaching, and committed to maintaining professional certification and expertise with K12 systems and curriculum.
