JOB DESCRIPTION

Private School, $100,000/year ($50/hour), W2 salary, Paid Weekly, Full-Time (40 hours/week), Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Day-One Health, Dental & Vision Benefits, Relocation Support Provided, Long-Term Role

Our innovative school is seeking a K-3 Life Skills Guide to motivate and coach young students as they learn academics through AI-powered learning apps. Rather than delivering traditional classroom instruction, our Guides focus on helping students build confidence, resilience, communication, and other essential life skills while ensuring they achieve ambitious weekly learning goals. The role combines high-energy life-skills workshops with personalized coaching, emphasizing that genuine support comes from maintaining high expectations and encouraging every child to reach their full potential.

Guides spend approximately half of their day leading engaging one-hour workshops on topics such as public speaking, focus, and giving and receiving feedback for cohorts of 10-15 students in either K-1 or grades 2-3. The remaining time is spent providing one-on-one and small-group coaching using analytics, incentive systems, and individualized motivation to help students meet weekly goals and master each life skill through assessments. Success is measured by students consistently achieving their goals, demonstrating life-skills mastery, and reporting a positive experience with their Guide. The role is highly interactive and relationship-driven, requiring creativity, energy, and adaptability rather than lectures, worksheets, curriculum writing, grading, or parent communication.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience working directly with children ages 4-9 either through teaching, coaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or providing youth leadership. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a successful example of motivating a young child to achieve a challenging goal, attend a paid training program, and be willing to work full-time on-site at our campus. (Relocation assistance is available.) Candidates must be comfortable allowing AI to deliver academic instruction while they focus on motivation and life-skills coaching, and must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Preferred qualifications include experience in youth athletics, children's theater, camp leadership, Montessori or progressive education, or after-school programs, and a personal history of high achievement, strong presentation and storytelling skills that engage young children, as well as a proven ability to help shy or reluctant students become confident, active participants.
