An innovative education company is seeking a K–8 Science Education Specialist to help expand high-quality instructional resources that strengthen science learning through data analysis. Working with schools, districts, publishers, and assessment organizations around the world, you will help this organization develop engaging tools and curriculum that help students build essential data literacy skills while supporting the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). In this role, you will contribute to the creation of meaningful science lessons and learning experiences that prepare students to think critically with data.

The successful candidate will design, develop, and refine NGSS-aligned instructional materials, including lessons, investigations, datasets, projects, and inquiry-based learning activities for students in grades 2–8. Working collaboratively with curriculum, production, and assessment teams, you will create engaging resources that incorporate research-based teaching practices and meet the needs of diverse learners. Responsibilities also include identifying and adapting high-quality open educational resources such as videos, simulations, and classroom activities that help teachers integrate data literacy into science instruction.

This position also emphasizes collaboration with educators and the broader science education community. You will support teachers as they implement our educational resources, build partnerships with schools, universities, museums, research organizations, and community groups, and help promote innovative approaches to science and data literacy education. Ideal candidates hold a degree in science education or a related science field with educational experience, possess a strong foundation in life, physical, or earth science, understand statistics and data analysis, have 3–5 years of elementary or middle school teaching experience, are knowledgeable about NGSS, and are enthusiastic about creating engaging online learning experiences for students and educators.

Preferred Qualifications

-Bachelor's, master's, doctorate, or Ed.M. in Science Education or a related science discipline with equivalent educational experience.

-Strong expertise in Life Science, Physical Science, or Earth Science.

-Three to five years of successful elementary or middle school science and/or mathematics teaching experience.

-Familiarity with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and evidence-based instructional practices.

-Experience designing interdisciplinary curriculum and integrating multiple subject areas.

-Solid understanding of statistics, data analysis, and data literacy concepts.

-Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

-Passion for educational technology, online learning, and supporting teachers in delivering engaging classroom experiences.
