Looking for a patient and experienced elementary classroom teacher to homeschool an 8 year old girl and a 7 year old boy who are both ahead of grade level, Monday-Friday from 8am-2pm at their home in Houston, TX 77024. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right teacher: a full-time position teaching two students that pays $75,000/year. This opportunity is for the upcoming fall school year, and will begin in late August or early September.

Looking for a qualified teacher who is warm and engaging, yet can command respect to keep the kids moving forward. The ability to build a good relationship with the kids is just as important as the academics. The right teacher will be organized, and able to customize a learning environment that will challenge two children who are ahead of grade level and may be gifted. (Both of the kids are competitive and do really well with academic challenges and games.) The parents are willing to collaborate with the teacher about the curriculum that will be used, but it must be accredited.

Minimum BA and at least 3 years of professional elementary classroom teaching experience is required. State certification is preferred. Must be able to teach all subjects at least through elementary, and must be comfortable teaching in a homeschool environment. Additional ability to speak and teach Spanish is preferred, and some prior homeschool teaching experience is a plus. Looking for an experienced elementary teacher who will collaborate with the parents regarding their preferences, and who is a team player with good communication skills.

Requirements: BA with minimum three years of elementary classroom teaching experience. State teacher certification is preferred. Ability to also speak Spanish is preferred, and prior experience teaching homeschool, private education or individualized instruction is a plus. Must have your own reliable transportation and cellphone, and must be able to come to the location of the students in Houston, TX 77024 Monday-Friday from 8am-2pm.
