JOB DESCRIPTION

Our staffing company is seeking a dedicated special education teacher for full-time, part-time, and per-case positions throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs for the 2026–2027 school year. This school-based opportunity offers a flexible Monday through Friday schedule during regular school hours, with W2 employment and benefits available based on the hours worked. Educators will have the opportunity to support students across PreK–12 settings while making a meaningful impact on their academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.

In this role, you will provide individualized instruction and IEP support for students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals, implementing academic intervention strategies, providing behavioral support, monitoring student progress, and maintaining accurate documentation for compliance. You will also use differentiated instruction, participate in MTSS and RTI initiatives when appropriate, and collaborate with teachers, counselors, school psychologists, families, and other support staff to help students achieve success.

Qualified candidates should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in special education or a related field and possess a valid state Special Education teaching license or certification. Previous school-based experience is preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and a passion for supporting students with diverse abilities are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

-Provide specialized instruction and classroom assistance for students with disabilities.

-Deliver instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

-Implement differentiated instruction, academic interventions, and behavioral support strategies.

-Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed.

-Collect data and maintain documentation to ensure IEP compliance.

-Collaborate with teachers, families, counselors, psychologists, and support staff.

-Support students individually, in small groups, and within the general education classroom.

-Participate in MTSS, RTI, and other student support initiatives when applicable.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.

-Valid state Special Education teaching license or certification.

-School-based experience preferred; mentorship available for newer teachers.

-Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
