A special education teacher is needed for the 2026–2027 school year. This contract opportunity offers a supportive, therapist-led work environment with guaranteed hours, consistent weekday schedules, and W-2 pay starting at $57 per hour. Educators will join a collaborative team that values professional autonomy, provides dedicated clinician support, and does not require employees to sign non-compete agreements.
In this role, you will provide individualized instruction for students with diverse learning needs while developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Responsibilities include adapting lesson plans to meet each student's academic, social, and life skills goals, monitoring progress, maintaining documentation, and creating an inclusive classroom environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Success in this position requires strong collaboration with general education teachers, parents, therapists, and school staff to ensure students receive appropriate accommodations and services. The ideal candidate is committed to supporting student growth through personalized instruction, ongoing assessment, and teamwork while helping students build confidence and achieve meaningful educational outcomes.
Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor's or master's degree in special education or a related field along with a valid South Carolina Special Education teaching certification or licensure. Previous special education teaching experience is preferred but not required.
