Special Education Teacher for 2026-2027

Our team is seeking a special education teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. As a Special Education Teacher, you will design, implement, and manage individualized education programs (IEPs) that address each student's unique academic, behavioral, social, and functional needs. You will provide specialized instruction across a variety of subject areas while adapting teaching methods to maximize student engagement, independence, and overall success in an inclusive educational setting.

The role also involves collaborating closely with general education teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers to monitor student progress, adjust instructional strategies, and ensure compliance with IEP goals and accommodations. Success in this position requires strong communication, teamwork, and a commitment to creating a supportive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.

Qualified candidates must hold a bachelor's or master's degree in special education or a related field and possess a valid North Carolina Special Education teaching license or certification. Previous special education teaching experience is preferred but not required.
