Special Education Teacher

Seeking a special education teacher for the 2026–2027 school year to join a collaborative, therapist-led team dedicated to helping students with diverse learning needs succeed. This opportunity offers guaranteed 32.5 hours per week, competitive W-2 compensation of up to $60 per hour, consistent weekday schedules, and dedicated clinician support. As a special education teacher, you will develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique strengths and educational needs. You will provide specialized instruction in academic, social, and life skills, adapt teaching strategies to maximize student achievement, and foster an inclusive classroom where students feel supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.

The role requires close collaboration with general education teachers, parents, and related service providers to monitor student progress, adjust instructional plans, and ensure compliance with IEP goals and accommodations. Strong communication, teamwork, and a commitment to individualized instruction are essential for creating meaningful educational outcomes for students with disabilities.

Qualified candidates must hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education and possess a valid New Jersey Teaching License with either a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) endorsement or Teacher of the Handicapped certification. Previous special education teaching experience is preferred but not required.
