Certified Special Education Teacher

We are looking for a dedicated certified special education teacher to support students for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year. Opportunities are available across elementary, middle, and high school levels. The position offers W-2 employment with full benefits and compensation of $52 per hour.

In this role, Special Education Teachers will provide individualized instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities include developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), adapting lessons to meet students' unique abilities, and delivering instruction in academic subjects, social skills, and life skills. Teachers will create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth, independence, and achievement.

Successful candidates will collaborate with educators, families, administrators, and support staff to monitor student progress, adjust instructional strategies, and ensure students receive appropriate services and accommodations. The ideal candidate is passionate about special education, committed to personalized learning, and dedicated to helping students reach their full potential through effective instruction and advocacy.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field and possess a valid Connecticut Special Education teaching certificate (#165 or #065). Previous special education teaching experience is preferred but not required.
