An innovative education company working to redefine the future of education is seeking an exceptional Math Learning Designer to help create interactive, adaptive, and engaging learning experiences that develop stronger mathematical problem solvers. The Math Learning Designer will create interactive courses and learning games covering topics ranging from foundational arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and probability to calculus, linear algebra, and advanced mathematical concepts. The role involves designing visual, puzzle-based experiences that guide learners through structured problem-solving journeys. Designers will break complex ideas into clear, approachable steps that help students reason from first principles, build confidence, and achieve deeper mathematical understanding.
Successful candidates should have an undergraduate degree or higher in a STEM field, along with strong mathematical knowledge developed through research, teaching, and/or other experience beyond a traditional math curriculum. Candidates should be skilled at explaining challenging concepts through simple, hands-on progressions and have experience using or creating interactive learning experiences in synchronous or asynchronous environments. Excellent English writing and communication skills, strong prioritization and multitasking abilities, adaptability, and a willingness to experiment are also essential. Applicants should also be comfortable contributing wherever needed, and should be able to provide examples of how they have taught mathematical concepts interactively online.
The Math Learning Designer will collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to develop new interactive features, visuals, mechanics, and learning experiences for both computers and mobile devices. The position offers $110,000–$180,000 annually plus stock options, along with medical, dental, and vision insurance with 100% of premiums covered, an equipment budget, 401(k) plan, paid parental leave, flexible vacation, professional development and conference sponsorship, and office perks including free lunch, weekly happy hours, and a stocked pantry.
