Private Special Education Teacher – In-Home Transition Support

Looking for a patient, compassionate, and experienced private special education teacher to provide in-home educational support for our child who has ADHD and possibly autism during the transition in learning environment. We are looking for an educator who can create a calm, structured, and encouraging atmosphere while helping our child adjust to new routines and develop positive academic habits.

The right teacher will have experience working with children who have ADHD and autism, learning differences, or other individualized educational needs. The teacher should be comfortable using flexible, student-centered teaching strategies and adapting lessons, routines, and expectations based on the child’s strengths, interests, and needs.

Responsibilities will include providing individualized academic instruction, establishing predictable routines, supporting attention and organization, and helping our child build confidence and independence. The teacher should be patient and observant, recognizing when the child needs a break or a different approach, or additional encouragement. Strong communication with parents will also be important throughout the transition.
