Independent Studies Teacher

Seeking a dedicated, organized, and experienced teacher or private tutor to provide academic support for our son who is currently enrolled in an independent studies program. I am supposed to help him, but I am working two jobs with a demanding work schedule, so I need an educator who can take an active role in helping the student stay on track with his coursework throughout the school week.

The teacher/tutor will work with the student Monday through Friday, providing consistent one-on-one support with his independent studies assignments and courses. The ideal candidate will be able to review the assigned curriculum, explain concepts clearly, assist with coursework, reinforce challenging subjects, and help ensure assignments are completed accurately and on schedule.

This role requires someone who can provide structure, accountability, and encouragement while still helping the student develop greater independence in his education. The teacher should be comfortable communicating with the parent and, when appropriate, coordinating with the student’s school or independent studies program regarding assignments, expectations and academic progress.
