Private Homeschool Teacher | ELA & STEM

Looking for a female in person middle school/high school teacher for our rising eighth grader here in Houston. We are seeking an experienced, engaging, and dedicated private homeschool teacher to provide in-person instruction, who can create a structured, personalized homeschool experience while helping the student build strong academic skills and confidence across the middle school curriculum.

The ideal candidate will have particular expertise in English Language Arts (ELA) and STEM, including reading comprehension, writing, grammar, literature, mathematics, science, technology, and hands-on problem-solving. The teacher should be able to teach engaging lessons that challenge the student appropriately, while adapting instruction to individual learning styles, strengths, and areas for growth.

This role will involve in-person, one-on-one homeschooling and may include curriculum planning, lesson preparation, assignments, projects, and assessments. The teacher should be organized, patient, creative, and comfortable being responsible for the student's academic program. Strong communication with the family and regular progress updates will also be important.
