Kindergarten Teacher for 2026-27

Our network of charter schools is seeking a dedicated kindergarten teacher for the 2026–27 school year. The teacher will guide young learners in developing foundational academic skills while creating an engaging, structured, and supportive classroom environment. The ideal candidate will set high academic and behavioral expectations while helping students develop the core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, excellence, and community.

The kindergarten teacher will introduce and reinforce essential academic concepts, monitor student mastery, and use detailed data analysis to tailor instruction and promote individual growth. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate student records, applying effective teaching strategies, and creating a classroom culture that encourages learning and positive behavior. Teachers will also communicate regularly with families and school staff regarding student progress and development.

Collaboration is an important part of the role. The teacher will also work closely with fellow educators and school leaders to align curriculum, analyze student performance, and implement strategies designed to improve academic outcomes. Candidates should be comfortable using technology and have strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Prior experience of 2-4 years working in an urban educational setting and prior educational leadership experience is preferred.

Applicants must have at least a bachelor’s degree (a master’s degree is strongly preferred), and must hold or qualify for a valid Tennessee teaching license or reciprocal certification. We offer annual compensation of $50,000–$76,000, along with benefits that include zero-dollar premium health plan options and support for obtaining or maintaining teaching licensure.
