In-Home Teacher for 5 Year Old Boy with Autism

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate in-home homeschool teacher to work one-on-one with our five-year-old boy who is on the autism spectrum. This role is ideal for an educator who understands the importance of creating a supportive, patient, and structured learning environment tailored to a young child’s individual needs.

Because he has not previously participated in a traditional classroom or teaching environment, the teacher should be comfortable introducing foundational academic routines gradually and positively. His prior structured experiences have only been through speech therapy, occupational therapy, and ABA services, so familiarity with individualized learning approaches and developmental differences is most important.

The ideal teacher will be dependable, patient, understanding, and experienced in working with children on the autism spectrum or with similar learning and developmental needs. The teacher should be able to build trust, maintain a calm learning environment, and adapt activities and instruction based on the child’s abilities, interests, and progress.

This is an in-person homeschooling position, virtual instruction is not an option for our family. We are looking for someone committed to providing consistent one-on-one educational support while helping our son develop early academic skills, confidence, independence, and positive learning habits.
