Lead Early Childhood Educator

Our co-working space is seeking a full-time Lead Early Childhood Educator to join our community. The position offers a salary of $75,000–$85,000 per year based on experience, plus benefits. The Lead Educator will help establish the systems, routines, and overall experience, creating a welcoming environment where children ages birth to five can learn through play, exploration, relationships, and curiosity.

The Lead Educator will oversee the daily operations, ensuring that spaces remain safe, organized, engaging, and well supplied. Responsibilities include actively interacting with children, leading activities, adapting programming based on group needs, and supporting children’s developmental milestones, independence, imagination, and social-emotional growth. The educator will also guide and collaborate with the team across both studios, facilitate smooth transitions, manage group dynamics, build strong relationships with families, and work closely with the General Manager to anticipate staffing, supply, and operational needs.

The ideal candidate is a passionate early childhood professional and strong communicator who is organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities at once. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional training with substantial early childhood education coursework and have significant experience as a preschool or early childhood lead teacher. Reliable transportation, technological proficiency, a clean record, and the physical ability to regularly lift and carry children weighing 10–40 pounds and occasionally more than 40 pounds are required. The educator must also be able to remain active throughout the day and respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies.

Experience leading teams, Montessori, Waldorf, RIE, or similar educational training, and experience working in a startup, small business, or new-site launch are desirable. This is an on-site, full-time salaried position reporting to the General Manager, with traditional business hours as the primary schedule, and occasionally evenings, weekends, or special events.
