Private Homeschool Teacher – Personalized Learning Support

Looking for a compassionate and experienced private homeschool teacher to support our daughter as she returns to learning following a long illness and extended absence from school. Because her previous academic records and assessments were completed while she was unwell, they do not accurately reflect her current abilities. We have chosen homeschooling this year to provide her with the time, flexibility, and individualized attention she needs to rebuild her academic foundation.

The ideal teacher will create a low-pressure, personalized learning environment focused on helping our daughter regain confidence and develop a positive relationship with learning. Rather than rushing to meet traditional classroom expectations, the teacher will establish an accurate academic baseline, identify areas where support is needed, and develop lessons that match her current skills, energy, and pace.

This role will involve providing consistent instruction across core academic areas while adjusting lessons and expectations as she progresses. We are looking for an educator who is calm, patient, encouraging, and highly attentive to the individual needs of a student returning to academics after a significant interruption. The right candidate will understand that steady progress, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment are more important than completing assignments or following a predetermined pace.

The ideal candidate will have experience in homeschooling, private education, tutoring, elementary or middle school instruction, and/or individualized academic support and will bring a warm, dependable presence to each session. Strong communication, flexibility, patience, and the ability to build trust are essential. This is an opportunity for a dedicated educator to provide meaningful one-on-one instruction to help a student rebuild her academic skills, confidence, and readiness for future learning.
