VPK Teacher Wanted with ADHD & ODD Experience

We are looking for a VPK-4 teacher or educator who has experience working with children with ADHD and ODD to provide one-on-one learning support in our home. Our son is 5 years old and will turn 6 in May. He was previously attending VPK-4 at a private school; however, we learned that the school was not equipped to provide the level of individualized support he needs. He is a bright, energetic, and sweet child who can have difficulty transitioning from one activity to another, and occasionally experiences emotional meltdowns. We are hoping to find someone who is patient, understanding, structured, and experienced with these behaviors while helping him continue to learn and prepare for kindergarten.

Ideally, we are looking for someone Monday through Friday, approximately 9:00 AM– 12:00 PM. Lessons would take place in our home, and I will be home the entire time. I am also expecting a newborn in November. We have a large patio that can be used for outdoor learning and activities. Although we live in a condo and do not have a private backyard, we also have a neighborhood park just down the street that could be incorporated into appropriate activities.

Our biggest priority is finding someone who understands children with ADHD and ODD, who can provide a positive, consistent, structured, and encouraging learning environment where our son can feel comfortable and be successful.
