Academic Tutor

My grandson is in a small private school, for several reasons. One of the reasons is that he needs firm following because of ADD, and another reason is that he was being negatively influenced at public school. The private school is very good. However, it is expensive, and we are still not sure of his absorption of important subjects. So we are seeking an experienced and dependable private tutor/teacher to provide individualized academic support for a student currently attending a small private school.

The goal is to supplement his current education with focused one-on-one instruction and ensure he is developing a strong understanding of important academic concepts. The ideal teacher will provide structured, consistent guidance while reinforcing lessons and helping the student stay focused and engaged. The tutor should be comfortable identifying areas where additional instruction or review may be needed and adapting lessons to support the student’s individual learning style and academic progress. We may consider a remote teacher or tutor to work with him.

A patient but firm teaching approach is preferred, along with experience working with students who benefit from clear expectations, structure, and accountability. The tutor should be able to make learning engaging while maintaining an organized and productive environment. The primary focus will be strengthening foundational skills, reinforcing schoolwork, and helping the student gain confidence and mastery.
