In-Home 3rd Grade Teacher

I need a patient, caring, and experienced female teacher to provide in-home instruction for our 3rd-grade son. The ideal candidate will have a warm and encouraging teaching style and be able to create a structured, positive learning environment that helps him stay engaged and confident with his schoolwork.

The teacher will provide individualized instruction across the 3rd-grade curriculum, helping with core subjects such as reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. Lessons should be adapted to the student's learning pace and needs, with clear explanations, engaging activities, and appropriate breaks or transitions to support sustained attention.

Patience and flexibility are especially important for this position, as our son has mild ADHD and may benefit from additional encouragement, redirection, and organizational support. The teacher should be able to maintain consistent expectations while using positive reinforcement and engaging instructional strategies to help him remain focused and make steady academic progress.

The right teacher will have experience teaching or tutoring elementary-aged students and be comfortable providing one-on-one instruction in a home setting. We are looking for a teacher with strong communication skills, reliability, patience, and the ability to build a positive relationship with a 3rd grade child. A background in elementary education, special education, tutoring, or experience supporting students with ADHD is preferred.
