Private Special Education Teacher - 6th Grade

Looking for an experienced private special education teacher or tutor to provide in-home academic support for a 6th-grade middle school student. We would like a teacher with experience working with students who have an IEP who can provide individualized instruction tailored to the child’s learning needs.

The primary focus will be helping the student with math, reading, and homework assignments. The teacher will reinforce classroom concepts, explain challenging material, provide additional practice, and help the student develop effective study and organizational skills.

Our family would like someone who can come to our home two times a week for consistent, one-on-one academic support. We would prefer a teacher or tutor who is patient, encouraging, dependable, and comfortable adapting instruction to differentiated learning styles and academic needs. The right teacher will enjoy working individually with middle school students with learning differences and helping them make steady academic progress.
