Description: Learning to code and make your own website is a fun and constructive activity that family members can share together in this class. This class is for people who are complete beginners and those new to HTML/CSS and coding in general. Learn to create and code websites from scratch using your own computer, with no prior experience. This is a hands-on class with an instructor who provides step-by-step training for ages 9 and up, in small group classes for personalized attention. Each student (adults and children) must bring their own working laptop.

Each student will learn to create a real website in the classroom, and we’ll dive right in to teach you exactly what you need to know to make webpages. At the end of the class, you will have built your own complete and functioning website using modern techniques that all of your friends and family can see.

Instructor Mandy Brake has 10 years engineering and coding experience, and has taught programming to beginners of all ages. She has built or modified over 100 websites, and is currently VP of Technology for LRNGO.com.

Four classes of 1.5 hours each. Expected practice time outside of class: 1-2 hours/week. Each student must bring a working laptop. Enrollment is limited.
