Steale has taught in primary and secondary schools for nine years and in tertiary education for eighteen years. He is an English as Second Language (ESL) Lecturer at a TAFE (Technical And Further Education) College, teaching ESL to adult migrants and refugees. He is also an ESL Teacher Trainer.
