Retired American English teacher with over 11 years experience teaching English in USA(about 2 years), Korea(7years in Ulsan,Osan and Daegu) and China(2 years). All ages taught from 8yrs old and above to adults at both public and private schools and 2 years at a university in Shangahi,China where I taught freshman and sophomore students.I also have a certified teaching license from the USA in Elementary Educ and Special Educ 2001-2013 as I have renewed it every 3 years to keep it active. I am looking for part time classroom teaching position in Baguio City,Philippines 4-6 hrs a day. I will also accept an English editing job as I have been here in Philippines over 1 year and can easily recognise that Philippino's English usage is barely average and quite a few dont speak or understand English.I say this because of their somewhat poor usage of grammar, sentence structure,spelling,conversational speaking, pronounication,use of American metaphors and over-all understanding of the English language. This is not their fault as they were taught English by Philippino teachers and their Philippino teachers were also taught by other Pinoy teachers all the way up the ladder.I have also worked with Philippinos as an English consultant on a voluntary basis here in Philippines and their English usage and understanding of the English language was far from perfect.With all due respect to the people of this wonderful,unique country I very often(Most of the time) have a hard time understanding Pinoys when I have a conversation with them.I must also say that I have lived in Both Korea and China just over 10 years and enjoyed the experience in those countries but will readily choose the Philippines as my permanent retirement haven as the people here are happy, warm and friendly with great smiles.In closing I will say that I teach perfect English with a perfect English accent as testified by my past Korean and Chinese colleagues.
