I have a Bachelor of Arts in English (Creative Writing) and Psychology. I am a current elementary teacher at a public school, licensed by the Colorado Department of Education to teach Elementary Education or English (for middle and high school students.) I also have tutoring experience and considerable experience editing writing, from resumes to essays, articles, creative fiction, and poetry. I have been acting for 17 years and can help you learn to audition, project, and get into character. I also play the violin (for 17 years) and can teach beginner violin lessons. I have previously taught students from 4 years old (specializing in science, English, and general education), to college-aged (for writing). I was a resident advisor in college so that gives me more experience advising older students as well. I have also taught academic skills including biological sciences and writing at summer camps multiple summers.

I would like to learn mostly creative skills such as knitting, crochet, woodworking, painting, voice lessons (I would like to have more formal singing instruction so I can add to my theatrical abilities), dance (I would particularly like help practicing for my wedding this summer), or ukulele. I am also interested in gardening or learning languages.

I am open to exchange or pay in return for my teaching services. I would charge more for teaching academic subjects and editing than acting or violin, since I have more official qualifications and training in teaching children for school, editing, and teaching writing.
