French-American soprano Arielle Carrara graduated from Rice University in Houston, Texas USA in 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music - Vocal Performance from the Shepherd School of Music. In past summers, she has studied and performed in concerts and master classes in programs around the world. Last summer, she studied at the Boccherini Conservatorio and sang in the Accademia Vocale Lorenzo Malfatti program in Lucca, Italy, where she performed in a number of concerts around Tuscany. Two summers ago, she sang in the CoOPERAtive Program with Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ, a summer project that coaches aspiring singers in the many facets of a professional vocal career. She also participated in OperaViva! in Verona, Italy where she sang the role of Contessa in Le Nozze di Figaro in the opera scenes program.
Arielle gave her senior recital on March 22, 2014 and has sung roles in opera scenes such as Titania in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Lucy in The Threepenny Opera, La Contessa in Le Nozze di Figaro, Rose Maurrant in Street Scene, Mercèdes in Carmen, and Gretel in Hãnsel und Gretel at Rice University. Arielle is an experienced translator, tutor and teacher of language and music. She currently resides in Düsseldorf, Germany, and will pursue a Masters in Music in 2015.
