As a graduate student pursuing Masters in Computer Science at George Mason University, I have had the opportunity to hone my skills in Programming using Java, C, Python and various Web Technologies including HTML/CSS, Javascript, AJAX, jQuery, Struts, JSF, SQL, JSF and AWS. With my skills and knowledge base I would be able to augment your development team with an ability to adapt and prepare for a variety of projects.
I manifested my skills in Web development with an ‘A’ grade in the subject “Software Engineering for WWW” where I developed a full-scale website using struts2 framework. A course in Systems programming, made me proficient in C programming using Linux OS. In addition to that, I developed my skills in Java and SQL while working on a project “Exam Paper Setter” during my final year of under graduation. Working with projects based on application development, I was introduced to various IDEs such as Visual Studio and Adobe Dreamweaver.
During my work experience as Software Quality Assurance Engineer for one year, I implemented and maintained test procedures and test scripts for new builds. My work involved core product testing with attention to detail and bug reporting. Adapting to various work cultures, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and prioritizing have been striking features of my working style. In addition to the above, I strongly believe in learning and sharing my knowledge with my colleagues. I am keen to learn and am sharp at identifying and solving problems.
As a candidate with relatively strong academic background coupled with relevant experience in various software technologies, I am confident that I could make a positive and productive contribution to the organization. I have enclosed my resume and would be delighted to talk/meet with you about this exciting opportunity. Please feel free to contact me at (571)278-8193 or shyderab@masonlive.gmu.edu for further communication.
