Hello!

I'm Adam, and I'm a future trainee solicitor and recent graduate from Oxford University, where I studied Modern Languages. My training contract is in commercial law with Allen & Overy LLP.

It is no secret that science and maths are in high demand at the moment and I am therefore delighted to have seen my GCSE chemistry and maths students go on to study dentistry, maths and economics at university.

Languages are great to study for two reasons.

Firstly, they develop your ability to understand and use language. Studying French or German helps you to improve your English.

Secondly, and in an ever more globalised world, they are a great way of connecting with people around the world. Languages help you to understand foreign cultures, and are therefore a great way of broadening your horizons and making yourself attractive to international employers.
