I am an innovative, adaptive, passionate and highly motivated teacher who will work hard to help and inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities. I have wanted to become a teacher since I was a little girl, as I was fascinated watching my mother teaching in her own English school.
My background includes a four-year university degree in Education Sciences.
I have two years of experience in teaching English as a second language both as a private tutor and teacher at an English Language School. While teaching at the English Language School I have learned to manage and teach successfully a class of 15 children who all had different needs and learning styles. Since September I have been working as a Teaching Assistant helping and supporting children across Key Stage 1 and 2. I have worked with children in class, in small groups and conducted interventions. I have a Master’s degree in SpLD/ Dyslexia at Bath Spa University, which involves academic study and working on school placement. I believe that students learn in their own unique way. I use multiple methods of teaching (linguistic, visual, auditory, kinesthetic) to teach my students, so that no one is left behind. My master in dyslexia helped me gain the appropriate and specialist knowledge to support every child in my class. Each child has a different learning style therefore in class I will make sure that by using multisensory ways of teaching every child’s needs will be met. I believe that all students should feel safe and welcome in class and be themselves. I want to encourage them to speak their minds and express their uniqueness through classroom activities.
