Hi there,
I’m Altini, and I’m glad you’re interested in taking either Spanish, ESL, or Math classes with me. Just to tell you a bit about myself, I started at Lone Star College and received my Associates Degree in just one year while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I then transferred to the University of Houston-Downtown where I received my Bachelor's of Arts in Spanish approximately 2 years later.
My most recent position was that of a math interventionist, working for the largest school district in Texas (HISD) teaching to 6th graders. My true passion has always been teaching! My long-term goal is to obtain my Ph.D. and become a college professor. I’m also interested in healthcare, as I have several certifications in the medical field.
I’ve tutored independently, for several private companies, and for colleges. Working as a substitute teacher for three school districts has given me the chance to work with students ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade. While I’ve spent most of my time with high-school and college students, I’d be happy to work with people of all levels. Apart from teaching, I enjoy reading and learning languages. I currently learn French. My other hobbies include working out, traveling, and learning new things.
:-)
