RACHEL MENCONI - With 28+ years of professional training/performance experience & many honors including being chosen for “The Arts Issue” cover/featured article of the (201) Magazine, I have been able to share my voice, acting skills, directing skills, choreography, & performing arts expertise with students as well as audiences for over two decades.

I love what I do! I feel very fortunate that I am able to share my passions through teaching, directing, writing, and performing.

My students come from all walks of life and have different goals, but they all have one thing in common. They love performing and have the desire to be the best at their chosen craft (singing/acting). No matter what your goals are, I can help. I teach my students how to become true artists without tearing them down and without taking away the part of them that makes them unique. Learning how to sing and act is a process that doesn't happen overnight. My ultimate goal as a teacher is to not only make my students the best actors and singers they can be, but to also give them all of the proper tools they need to have a more productive mind frame and become self-sufficient. Of course this can take years to master. It takes time and dedication.

My students have been accepted in Performing Arts Schools and Colleges, gone on national tours, released albums, are in bands, have been cast in regional/Off-Off-Broadway/Off-Broadway Theatre, movies (Noah, The Wolf Of Wall Street, Top Five), music videos, commercials (JC Penny, Sleepys, Beats By Dre, Bud Light, Optimum Business), & on TV (Orange Is The New Black, Royal Pains, Smash, 30 Rock, The Mysteries Of Laura, The Good Wife, Law & Order: SVU, E!'s SongByrd, Golden Boy, & NBC's The Voice competition).

I'm a proud member of SAG-AFTRA, National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS; certified), Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA), NARAS (The Grammy Awards), New Jersey Music Educators Association (NJMEA), National Association for Music Education (NAfME), New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA), Educational Theatre Association (EDTA), New Jersey Theatre Alliance, Broadcast Music International (BMI), and Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs (MAC).

I have taught modern Bel Canto singing technique to children-adults for 18+ years. I have trained with a master teacher for 25+ years in The Art Of Bel Canto singing technique for all genres. I have studied at many different schools including The Stella Adler Acting Studio in NYC. I recorded and released an album called “Just Meant To Be” as well as many original singles. Other credits include commercials, films, TV shows (One Tree Hill), music videos, and numerous stage credits (Off-Broadway/NYC Theatre). Been fortunate to have worked and performed with many people in the business including Grammy, Tony, Emmy Award Winners and Nominees.
