I've taught in medical programs for over 12 years. My areas of greatest interest and expertise are anatomy and physiology, pathology, immunology and infectious disease, pharmacology, and law and ethics in clinical practice. I can also teach other subject matter related to nursing as needed.
I have a long history of nursing experience in hospital acute care, critical care, clinic, and long term care settings in both the US and abroad. I was responsible for teaching all courses in a newly established medical program as only one of two nurses teaching for the first 8 months
I'm a graduate of Virginia Western Community College nursing program, and Hamilton University with a BS and MS in medical administration, and a graduate of Kaplan College's paralegal program in 2001. I was named Montclair's Nurse of the Year in 2006 and nominated Teacher of the Year at ECPI University in 2006. As a paralegal and nurse consultant I've served with attorneys in chart review and as expert witness in the courtroom in nursing neglect and malpractice cases. I love teaching both in a classroom and to a jury.
