My name is Brandon and I currently reside in San Francisco, CA. Like many people, I was drawn to this city for its great universities and eclectic environment. I'm a graduate of UC Berkeley and current JD/MBA student at the University of San Francisco. My background is in Special Education and Technology. Though I wish to pursue a career in the business realm (specifically marketing management), I desire to help persons with disabilities to live their lives as independently as possible! I have helped with resume writing; job searching; public transit acclamation; social skills-building; and physical fitness training. Moreover, I have experience working both one-on-one and in large groups of people, so I am open to any requests!
A little about my background: I went to undergrad at UC Berkeley. After graduating, I moved home for four years to gain work experience in both the public and private sectors while preparing for the LSAT (Law School Admissions Test).
During my four-year gap between undegrad and graduate studies, I worked for a career development program at my local school district. What we did was we helped high school graduates with developmental disabilities find jobs in the community and develop life skills. However, with cuts in funding my hours were reduced and I began to look at other jobs that would be as equally rewarding. I wound up working as an operations coordinator at the West Area Verizon Wireless headquarters in Irvine, CA. There, I performed advanced troubleshooting of the cellular network and data devices. I've always been fascinated by technology and this job really helped me understand how complex and coordinated the wireless networks really are.
I am actually in my third year of graduate studies at the University of San Francisco, pursuing a joint Juris Doctor and Masters in Business Administration. My original intention was to practice tax law, but my interests and passions have shifted to creating change within an organization in a hands-on manner. I have always been the creative, outside-of-the-box type, so I believe m knowledge and skills are best suited for a position in marketing - thus the reason for pursing an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing Management!
