I am an experienced teacher with great people skills. My students love being in my classroom because I create a safe, learning environment for students to explore and grow. My philosophy of teaching is to develop the whole child and provide high quality instruction and activities to support academic learning. My goal is to make learning fun and engaging. I feel successful when students tackle concepts that might be difficult and experience success themselves. I have taught various grades and abilities as a teacher in several schools and two states. I have offered private tutoring in all subjects up to grade 6. I have also taught intervention for struggling readers and have experience identifying characteristics of dyslexia and helping students who have dyslexia learn to read. I am a gifted teacher who understands the needs of children and am uniquely qualified to meet their learning needs.
