I am a Georgia-certified elementary educator and Orton-Gillingham-trained literacy instructor with extensive experience supporting students in Kindergarten through fifth grade. I specialize in early literacy, phonics, decoding, reading fluency, comprehension, writing, and individualized academic support.

My teaching approach is structured, engaging, creative, and personalized to each student’s needs. I enjoy finding unique ways to make learning meaningful through interactive activities, visuals, projects, storytelling, games, and lessons connected to each child’s interests. I believe creativity helps students stay engaged, build confidence, and experience learning in ways that feel exciting and memorable.

I use assessment, observation, and student performance to identify strengths and learning gaps, then create targeted lessons designed to support measurable growth. I have experience teaching whole classes, small groups, and one-on-one sessions, with particular strength in supporting beginning and developing readers.

I incorporate Science of Reading and structured literacy practices, including phonemic awareness, phoneme-grapheme mapping, blending, decoding, encoding, and decodable text. I also provide enrichment for students who are already performing well and need more advanced reading, writing, comprehension, and creative learning opportunities.

My goal is to help every student become a confident, independent learner while providing instruction that is supportive, engaging, and tailored to who they are.
