Hello, I’m Cathy Peters, an experienced certified educator and instructional leader with over 10 years of experience supporting students from elementary through high school in both traditional and virtual learning environments.
Teaching has always been more than a profession for me—it is truly my passion. I love helping students grow academically while also building their confidence and love for learning. My approach is patient, supportive, and tailored to each child’s individual learning style and needs.
I have extensive experience in curriculum planning, virtual instruction, reading intervention, and individualized academic support. I currently work as a Reading Interventionist, where I provide one-on-one instruction for students with dyslexia and other learning differences using evidence-based strategies, including Orton-Gillingham practices.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have served as a school director, principal, and instructional coach, which has strengthened my ability to create personalized learning plans, monitor student progress, and partner closely with families.
I specialize in:
• Homeschool instruction (PreK–Elementary and Middle School)
• Reading and literacy support
• Math instruction
• Learning differences and dyslexia intervention
• Study skills and confidence building
• Virtual and remote learning support
As a homeschool teacher, my goal is to create a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment where students feel seen, supported, and capable of success.
I look forward to partnering with families to help their children thrive.
