Hello! I’m Sabriyyah, a certified elementary educator with experience teaching Kindergarten through 5th grade in both traditional classroom and private homeschool settings. I am passionate about creating meaningful, individualized learning experiences that help children grow academically while developing confidence, independence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning.
My experience in education has allowed me to work with children across a variety of ages, abilities, and learning styles, including neurodivergent children and those who benefit from additional behavioral, developmental, or academic support. My background also includes experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and developmental psychology, which have further shaped the way I understand behavior, development, and the importance of supporting each child as an individual.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that children learn best when they feel understood, supported, and appropriately challenged. I maintain high academic expectations while recognizing that every child has unique strengths, interests, and needs. I enjoy bringing learning to life through hands-on projects, real-world applications, educational outings, creativity, movement, and experiences that allow children to explore the world around them. I believe private education offers a unique opportunity to make learning both rigorous and deeply personal.
Beyond academic achievement, I believe education should support a child’s character, confidence, and independence. Integrity, respect, responsibility, resilience, curiosity, and a strong work ethic are values I strive to model and encourage. My approach is warm and patient, with clear expectations and consistency. I believe in providing children with a dependable foundation while remaining flexible enough to follow their curiosity, embrace new experiences, and adapt learning to their individual needs.
Outside of teaching, I am warm, dependable, organized, active, and family-oriented. I enjoy traveling, fitness, spending time outdoors, exploring new places, and experiencing different cultures. I also have a lifelong love of horses and equestrian activities. I enjoy getting to know each child’s personality, discovering what interests them, and finding meaningful ways to incorporate those interests into their experiences.
I am also comfortable taking on the broader responsibilities that often accompany private family roles. In addition to private educator and homeschool teacher positions, I am open to educator/governess and nanny/educator roles that combine academics with childcare, activities, outings, routines, travel, and support for a child’s overall development. I enjoy working with children beyond the academic setting and understand the importance of adapting to the needs and lifestyle of each family.
I recognize that working within a private household is built on trust. Families are welcoming someone into their home, routines, travels, and everyday lives, and I take that responsibility seriously. I value professionalism, discretion, reliability, flexibility, clear communication, and respect for privacy. I recognize that every household has its own values, routines, and parenting philosophy. My goal is to work collaboratively with parents, integrate thoughtfully into family life, and provide children with dependable support and care.
I am currently seeking a full-time private educator, homeschool educator, educator/governess, or nanny/educator position. I am open to relocating throughout the United States for the right long-term opportunity and am also open to domestic and international travel. I hope to partner with a family that values a personalized, well-rounded education and is seeking an educator committed to supporting their child’s academic, developmental, and personal growth.
