Throughout my career, I have been driven by one mission: ensuring that every child has access to high-quality, personalized learning opportunities that help them reach their fullest potential. My journey as an educator and school leader has been rooted in service to underserved communities, where I have dedicated my time, expertise, and leadership to improving student outcomes and supporting the educators who serve them.
As a classroom teacher, I have worked directly with elementary students to create engaging, rigorous, and culturally responsive learning environments that foster both academic achievement and confidence. My experience in the classroom has given me a deep understanding of how students learn, the importance of building strong relationships, and the value of tailoring instruction to meet each child's unique strengths and needs.
Beyond the classroom, I have served in school leadership roles, including as an Assistant Principal, where I supported instructional excellence, coached teachers, analyzed student achievement data, and partnered with families to strengthen school culture and student success. These leadership experiences have allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to build high-performing learning environments while supporting both students and educators.
One of my most rewarding accomplishments has been designing, building, and managing an Extended Day Program that provided students with meaningful academic intervention, enrichment opportunities, and social-emotional support beyond the traditional school day. From program design and curriculum development to staffing, budgeting, family engagement, and daily operations, I successfully led a program that expanded learning opportunities for students while fostering partnerships with community organizations to provide experiences in areas such as robotics, photojournalism, creative arts, and leadership development.
Throughout my career, I have remained committed to continuous professional growth. I earned a Master of Education degree and completed Rising Leaders training and leadership development, strengthening my instructional leadership, organizational management, and strategic planning skills. As an instructional coach, I partnered with teachers to improve instructional practices through data-driven planning, goal setting, classroom observations, and individualized coaching that resulted in stronger teaching and improved student outcomes.
While I have valued every opportunity to lead within schools, my experiences have reinforced one important belief: students experience the greatest growth when instruction is personalized, relationships are strong, and learning is intentionally designed around their individual needs. This realization has inspired me to pursue a more personalized approach to education by working with students in smaller learning environments where I can provide targeted instruction, build meaningful partnerships with families, and maximize each student's academic growth.
My vision is to create learning experiences that combine the expertise of an experienced educator, the strategic perspective of a school leader, and the individualized attention that many students need to thrive. Whether supporting struggling learners, challenging advanced students, or partnering with families to close learning gaps, I am committed to helping every child develop the confidence, skills, and love of learning necessary for long-term success.
