I have over 14 years of experience in education. My previous roles have been in Special Education K-6, Title Reading K-6, 3rd Grade, and a Parent Educator (Birth to 3 program).
I have an extensive knowledge base in assessments and analyzing student data to lead high-quality instruction to meet student's needs. In my professional roles, I have facilitated trainings, completed employee observations and evaluations, been a team leader for many committees and collaborated with stakeholders to achieve improved student outcomes. I have designed and implemented data intervention frameworks and facilitated meetings to improve instructional practices and student growth. I have also been a mentor and delivered training(s) to teachers for reading and behavioral supports.
I hold a Master's degree in Special Education, Bachelor of Science in General Education, Reading Recovery certification and LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling - Science of Reading Seal of Literacy) certification. I have a deep understanding of grade-level standards across multiple grade-levels (K-6) and subject areas. I consistently adapt lessons to meet my students diverse learning styles and needs. I create a supportive and effective classroom environment by building positive rapport with my students and families.
