Hello! I’m a homeschool mom, CT Certified Language Arts teacher, and writing tutor who enjoys working with children in their early learning years. I have over 8 years of experience working with elementary-aged students through Classical Conversations, along with nearly 20 years teaching PreK–1st grade Sunday School. I’ve also homeschooled my own children through their PreK and elementary years and continue to homeschool them in high school, which gives me a deep appreciation for the rhythms and needs of family-based learning.
I bring a calm, steady approach to teaching young learners, with an emphasis on clear routines, step-by-step instruction, and helping children grow in confidence. In the PreK–3rd years especially, I value not only academic progress, but also nurturing attention, diligence, and a genuine love of learning.
My background in programs like Institute for Excellence in Writing has shaped how I teach across all ages, with a focus on strong language skills and clear thinking. Even with younger students, I aim to gently guide them in expressing their ideas and building strong communication habits.
My faith is an important part of both my life and my teaching, and I’m comfortable supporting a Christ-centered learning environment in a way that feels natural and consistent with your family’s values.
As a teacher, my goal is to come alongside your family in a way that is supportive and dependable. I value open communication with parents and want each child to feel both encouraged and capable in their work.
My availability is primarily during weekday hours, and I structure my schedule in coordination with my clients needs.
