I am a certified elementary general education and special education teacher (with several certifications, a master's in mathematics education and an Educational Diagnostician certification) currently with 25 years of experience. teaching students in the general education classroom, special education classroom and intervention in small groups. At this time, I am an Instructional Resource Special Education Teacher for students in pre-K - 6th grade at a public school in the Hurst Euless Bedford District. For 10 years, I have had my own business as a private tutor (remote and in person) for math which includes experience teaching 2nd grade through 8th grade. I create learning activities and experiences that help them to understand Math and learn to problem solve. I also have 3 years' experience teaching classical education (all subjects) using the Core Knowledge Curriculum.

I have utilized district-identified intervention resources for individual student needs and assessed data in order to identify students who have fallen between the cracks. I, also, developed lessons and provided effective interventions for all my students. I strive to create learning environments which motivate and inspire students, while providing them with the disciplined educational approach needed to establish a firm foundation for lifelong learning.

It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, intelligent teacher who will make a difference in my students and their family's life.
