As a former records historian for the State of Washington, I directly tutor adults who are self directed in their learning goals. For example, I tutor adults in how to use e-learning and online resources for personal, family, and local history projects.
In addition, I assist adult students to reach their career, educational, and self directed learning goals through the use of e-learning skills and tools with online educational resources. Using the adult student's goals, we design an economical self directed learning plan that may be pursued independently by the student, or as appropriately necessary with online e-learning and in person tutorials to reach their personal educational goals.
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education: History and Social Sciences with a teaching minor in English. I earned my Master of Arts degree in Secondary Education: Related Fields of Anthropology and Geography in Secondary Classroom teaching. I retired as a teacher and also as a director of a Corporation for National and Community Service: Senior Corps program in Pierce and Thurston Counties in the State of Washington where I trained tutors serving special needs individuals.
