I have been teaching for over five years, beginning my career after completing my student teaching experience. My first position was as a travel homeschool teacher, where I lived and traveled with a family while educating their three children. I taught Kindergarten and 3rd grade, and the parents selected a faith-based curriculum that I supplemented with additional materials I created to support and enrich each subject area. Prior to teaching the faith-based curriculum, I completed a Bible school that helped me grow my own faith in Christianity. I would be excited to teach a faith-based curriculum again, if possible. All these experiences helped me grow tremendously as an educator, as I learned how to design flexible, individualized instruction in a highly immersive learning environment.

After that, I worked as a Special Education teacher for approximately three years, supporting students in grades 6–12. Although my students were older in age, I primarily taught foundational elementary-level curriculum based on their academic needs. During this time, I developed strong skills in differentiation, scaffolding instruction, and meeting students where they are while helping them build confidence and academic independence.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Special Education. I currently work part-time as a reading tutor and curriculum developer, where I continue to design engaging, targeted instructional materials to support struggling readers. I am especially passionate about literacy instruction and enjoy thinking creatively about how to make learning accessible, meaningful, and engaging for all students.

I grew up on the shores of New Jersey and now currently reside in Colorado. I am deeply connected to both the sea and the mountains, and I find inspiration in both environments. I am very active and love incorporating movement, outdoor learning, and real-world experiences into my teaching whenever possible. Whether in the classroom or outside exploring nature, I enjoy helping students connect learning to the world around them.

Teaching is truly my passion, and I thrive when I am able to think outside the box to better support and inspire the students I work with.
