Teaching is my passion, and I consider it a great privilege to have worked with students in South Africa, Zimbabwe, the Middle East (Riyadh and Dhahran), and the United States. I have taught English Language, Literature, and Art within the Cambridge system (UK), the Australian system (Australian International School, Riyadh), and to Common Core State Standards (Tennessee) for over a quarter of a century! Having recently been afforded the freedom to develop a middle school ELA curriculum, I unleashed my inner-middle-schooler, and have been creating an adventure-filled journey of exploration through the mysterious and winding paths of the wonderfully complex, ever-evolving English language. When not actively "Englishing," I'll be painting, drawing, baking, wrestling old furniture into new life, or running after the ball that my two stubborn dogs, Pancho and Max, refuse to chase.
