My objective is to ignite a spark in each student. As Yeats put it, "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." I meet students where they are, and help "grow" their learning from that point, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking at all levels of education. I have taught middle school, high school, and college (English, literature, and writing). I hold a master's degree in English/Writing from Rutgers University. Many high school graduates are ill-prepared for college. My objective is to have an impact on that sad fact, one student at a time.
