I am a collaborative, passionate educator and strongly believe in teaching the whole child to ensure that student develops socially, emotionally, and academically. I am seeking to leverage my 10 years of lower school teaching experience to maximize learning outcomes for students.
I believe that my experience both as an educator and parent working with children with different
needs makes me a strong candidate for this position. As an educator, I have extensive
experience planning engaging learning activities and differentiating instruction in student-centered, project-based learning environments. As part of receiving my Masters in Education from UCLA, I conducted an inquiry on the effectiveness of integrating games into the reading curriculum of a first grade classroom to support students struggling with learning through the standard curriculum. Additionally, in my experiences as a Reading Specialist and as a Resource Specialist, I conducted assessments and used this data to provide differentiated instruction, focusing on the specific needs of each student. Furthermore, as a parent of a neurodiverse child diagnosed with Autism and ADHD, I have experience thinking creatively on how to best support the needs of different learners. I am organized, detail-oriented, and have strong
communication skills.I believe that my experience
