I have a BA in Elementary Education and a MA in Secondary English Language Arts. I also have a teaching certificate for the State of Washington. I have taught in a private school for the last five years and homeschooled my own children for four years prior to that. I am familar with faith based curriculum and Common Core Curriculum and standards. I have experience with early education, elementary education and middle school. I have taught class sizes of 24 in one classroom up to 8 periods a day totaling 141 middle school students. I am able to plan and teach lessons for students in different grade levels at the same time. I enjoy the performing arts and art in general and I like to incorporate the arts into lessons to kept students engaged. I prefer student led activities and open ended questions where students can really show what they know in their own style while using critical thinking. Lastly, I like to make learning fun with projects and combining content areas.
